Robert Julius is a writer, poet, and artist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Currently, he lives in Columbus, Ohio where he is a MFA candidate in Creative Writing at The Ohio State University. Previously, Robert earned a BFA in Creative Writing and a BA in French from Chapman University in Orange, California.
Robert’s debut collection, Betweenlife, is a short series of poems about life, death, and the dance that goes on in-between. Part elegy, part ode to queer love, this collection risks opening up the tight heart of grief in order to see if there might be a glimmering pearl of hope.
In addition to his own writing, Robert serves as a poetry editor at The Ohio State University’s award-winning literary magazine, The Journal. He also offers a variety of services for writers who are looking to empower themselves creatively. This ranges from editing manuscripts to offering personal feedback for creative work.
