About

Me bitchI am a writer, poet, and artist born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At 20, I decided to uproot and fly westward to study in Southern California. I earned a BFA in Creative Writing and a BA in French from Chapman University in a small town called Orange.

Some of my interests include spirituality, nature, meditation, veganism/animal rights, queer culture, and growing as many plants as possible in my small home.

I am presently based in Columbus, Ohio where I am enrolled in the Creative Writing MFA Program at The Ohio State University. My focus is poetry — an art that has the power to uplift and transform the human spirit. There, I also work as a poetry editor for The Journal. In addition to poetry, I enjoy writing fiction, non-fiction, and screenplays.

If you are interested in learning more about the life of a young queer writer and finding ways to empower your creative self, then please subscribe and share what you like. You can also drop me a line here.

I hope that we can grow and learn from one another.

Cheers,
Robert Julius
